The Grande Old Lady

We had quite a surprise when we returned to Orlando to the Grande Vista. It seems that shortly after we had left to visit St. Petersburg, a hot water tank above our condo burst and sent water into our place below. Fortunately the Grande Vista staff acted quickly to stave off any damage. However, the huge dehumidifiers and various hoses used to sop up the mess gave us quite a scare when we opened our door! Not only had they avoided a disaster but they bent over backwards to make up for the accident.
They were so concerned about any inconvenience that we might have incurred that we were treated to a full meal for two at the resort’s four-star restaurant, Nick's on the golf course. It was a nice turn of events for the two of us.

We almost hated to leave the next day. The Marriott Grande Vista is the kind of resort where you would love to spend months!

None the less, the next day we moved our caravan a few miles west to the new Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort at the gate of Epcot Center. Bonnet Creek is a new Wyndham resort that promises to be a terrific place to visit year round. With Disney right next door, a short bus ride puts you in the Park of your choice.

The place was so new lots of construction is still going on. It was only a minor intrusion to our 8th floor view over the lagoon. In fact, I enjoyed watching the folks working on a new pool and restaurant complex below our balcony.Despite our plush surroundings my cold seemed to be getting worse! It made for a pretty miserable week for both of us. Still I had hope that all the medicines I was taking would bring an end to my cold soon; ever the optimist!
